1. Always use your business/company name as your domain name. Your visitors should only have one name to remember your business – be it your domain.
2. Your domain name needs to be short and very easy to remember. Sixty-seven characters is the limit. Domain names that are simple and short to remember make it less difficult for your visitors frequently.
3. Try to use keywords that best describe your brand, products or services. For example, if you are a technology blogger, you might like to register techblogger.com. It helps to increase your rank on search engine machines like google, which in return increases your traffic. It also makes more sense to your visitors.
4. Apart of registering a domain using your business name, you should register another domain name that is much related to your business sector. For example, register www.nokia.com and register www.electronics.com. You can link both domain names to a similar website. Use much known keywords when you do this.
